According to a federal judge’s order, the Village of Elwood had until 6:00 am this morning to remove barriers effecting truck traffic on Walter Strawn Drive and Baseline Road. The temporary restraining order issued Friday calls for the village to cease enforcement of its traffic ordinance for a period of two weeks. The ordinance, which went into effect May 26th, has had a significant impact on the intermodal facilities in the area.
